Coach Kyle
I graduated from the University of Northern British Columbia in 2012 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, specializing in Finance and International Business. Growing up, I was always active—playing ice hockey and doing gymnastics in the winter, and swimming in the summer. However, it wasn’t until my third year of university that I discovered my true passion: the weight room.
The weight room challenged and motivated me in ways that university didn’t. Before long, I was spending every free moment between classes lifting weights and diving deep into all things nutrition and strength training. While others were cramming for midterms, I was obsessively learning about effective training methods and diet strategies. At the time, resources on flexible dieting and proper strength training protocols were scarce, but through years of trial and error, I’ve developed a proven approach to programming that emphasizes progressive overload and delivers sustainable results.
I’m currently pursuing my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) designation through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), which I plan to complete early next year.
Today, I live in beautiful Kelowna, BC, where I work as a Licensed REALTOR® with Royal LePage. Balancing a high-pressure career with a healthy lifestyle has taught me the value of hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment. Over the years, my passion has shifted toward helping other busy professionals find that same balance. My mission is to guide people in achieving a sustainable, healthy lifestyle—both physically and mentally—while navigating the demands of their careers and personal lives.
Coach Krys
Growing up, I struggled deeply with body image. As a teenager, I couldn't maintain a healthy body weight and was constantly told I was "too skinny" and needed to "put meat on those bones." Despite eating as much as anyone else, my high activity level and fast metabolism made it nearly impossible to gain weight.
As an athlete with a passion for basketball, being told I didn’t make my university team because I was "too small" was devastating. Entering my first year of university without basketball left me feeling lost. I started going to the gym with Kyle but avoided the weight room completely. While he lifted weights, I stuck to endless cardio sessions—sometimes 1.5 to 2 hours at a time. Without paying attention to my nutrition or macronutrient intake, I quickly dropped to 90 pounds at 5'4".
At that point, I decided enough was enough. It was time to focus on gaining healthy weight and building strength. Today, I weigh 130 pounds and have never felt more confident or comfortable in my own skin. The journey wasn’t easy, but it taught me that being told you're "too skinny" can hurt just as much as being called "too fat."
Once I finally worked up the courage to step into the weight room, everything changed. Lifting weights gave me a sense of empowerment I’d never experienced before, and I was instantly hooked. That newfound confidence fueled my passion for helping others build their strength and self-esteem.
In 2014, I earned my Personal Training Certification and have been dedicated to expanding my knowledge ever since. My mission is to help women master their fitness goals and find confidence in their own journeys.
